一百万张底片里的中国记忆：苏文「北京银矿」档案合辑亮相Fotografiska上海

One Million Negatives of China: Thomas Sauvin’s “Beijing Silvermine: Archive Collection” Opens at Fotografiska Shanghai

法国艺术家兼档案研究员苏文（Thomas Sauvin）以十余年之力从北京郊区一座回收厂抢救出逾百万张35毫米彩色负片，构建起一座独一无二的民间影像档案馆——「北京银矿」。如今，这座「银矿」以全新姿态亮相：2026年6月19日至10月18日，《北京银矿：档案合辑》在上海Fotografiska影像艺术中心开幕。

French artist and archival researcher Thomas Sauvin has spent over a decade rescuing more than one million 35mm color negatives from a recycling plant on the outskirts of Beijing, building a one-of-a-kind vernacular photographic archive — the “Beijing Silvermine.” Now this “silver mine” re-emerges in a new light: from June 19 to October 18, 2026, “Beijing Silvermine: Archive Collection” opens at Fotografiska Shanghai.

2009年，苏文从北京北郊的回收厂买下即将被化学提炼回收银盐的废弃底片。这些底片的主人多为普通中国家庭，拍摄时间跨越改革开放至21世纪初——婚礼、生日、公园留影、家庭聚餐、旅游纪念照……镜头下没有宏大叙事，却拼凑出中国经济起飞前夜最真实、最鲜活的社会底色。

In 2009, Sauvin began purchasing discarded negatives from a recycling facility — film stock destined for chemical processing to reclaim silver. The photographers were mostly ordinary Chinese families, and the images span from the Reform and Opening-up era to the early 2000s. Together they piece together the most authentic and vivid portrait of Chinese society on the eve of its economic ascent.
